Frances Tiafoe hails girlfriend Ayan Broomfield as the key to his success
Over the course of his career, Frances Tiafoe has been vocal about how the support of his girlfriend Ayan Broomfield has been crucial in his journey on court. In an interview with atptour.com, the American called Broomfield the key to his success, saying,
“The key to a very successful man, I think it’s a lot of things. But I think number one is a strong woman in your corner. A lot of times, it’ll just ground you… And I think a lot of times, when you don’t have that because you’re all over the map, they can be detail oriented, they kind of paint the picture for you, help guide you to somewhere you’re trying to go. Sometimes they believe in you more than you believe in yourself. And that’s helped me a lot, so shout out to her.”
He went on to add that Broomfield has played a critical role in his life even away from the tennis court, explaining,
“She’s been critical not only for my career, but for my life. She’s so solid. She’s been there for me for so many years, and happy to have her, very important.”
On the tennis end of things, Frances Tiafoe was most recently seen in action at the Vienna Open. Competing at the ATP 500 event, the 28-year-old was ousted by Lorenzo Musetti in his opening round encounter.
