AEW President Tony Khan recently went after WWE as All Elite Wrestling approaches a huge event next week. The Jacksonville-based promotion originated eight years ago and is one of the most successful promotions in the history of pro wrestling. While it delivered a good product, there was one other thing that led to its success. It tried to improve what its competition lacked. One of those things is affordable tickets.
For the past few years, WWE has increased the prices of RAW, SmackDown and especially Premium Live Events. Fans have complained about the issues multiple times. However, the global sports entertainment juggernaut hasn’t changed things. On the other hand, the AEW President has been presenting itself as a family-friendly and affordable company.
Recently, while speaking on First Coast News, Tony Khan talked about tonight’s Fright Night Dynamite and next week’s Blood and Guts. During his appearance, he also took a jab at WWE and claimed that one doesn’t need to sell his body parts to enjoy AEW.
“This episode, on Wednesday November 4th. You can get your tickets now. I guarantee it’s going to be worth the value and AEW also has the most affordable tickets in TV wrestling. I guarantee you we’re not going to take an arm and leg for this. This is gonna be a good night of wrestling matches,” he said.
Max Caster praises AEW President Tony Khan
While speaking on K&S WrestleFest, former AEW star Max Caster talked highly of Tony Khan and claimed he supported a lot of wrestlers throughout the match.
“I always gotta shout out Tony Khan, because he’s supporting a lot of wrestlers’ living right now… including me. I’m still living off AEW money… That’s a guy who, for whatever reason in his heart, is supporting wrestling and supporting wrestlers,” Caster said.
It will be interesting to see what is next for AEW as Blood and Guts approaches next week.
