Punished: WWE Champions Shocked By Robert Stone; Repercussions For Insubordination Revealed

NXT General Manager Robert Stone had a surprise for WWE champions at Halloween Havoc 2026. A massive bout has been announced for the November 4 episode of NXT.

The Vanity Project confronted Stone backstage at the event. The NXT Tag Team Champions Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes complained about not being in the final of the 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament. The General Manager informed them that they lost to Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno fair and square in the semifinals.

Stone then brought up Baylor and Smokes getting involved in Jackson Drake’s NXT North American Title defense against EK Prosper despite telling them not to. The General Manager made it clear that if the trio won’t respect the rules, there will be consequences.

Stone then announced a massive match for the November 4 episode of the developmental brand’s show. The Vanity Project will take on Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable, AAA Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix, and Dragon Lee in a six-man tag team bout.
