“She’s Milking This” “Not One Person Attacked Her”: Fans Bash Monica McNutt For Latest Justification on Questioning Taylor Swift’s Knicks Fandom

This post was originally published on this site.

Monica McNutt got on the wrong side of Taylor Swift fans after she doubted the singer’s allegiance to the New York Knicks on a hot mic during Game 4 of the NBA Finals. The radio analyst became a target of the Swifties, prompting Jalen Brunson to intervene and support McNutt.

McNutt recalled the incident and shared her thoughts about it on Sunday’s episode of “The Pivot” podcast.

Thanks for the submission!

“People that have never had our job, you don’t know how hot mic works. And if you don’t speak with any of the flavor that I speak with, you probably took that comment to heart, and it wasn’t even that deep,” she said.

Former NFL star Ryan Clark shared McNutt’s segment from the podcast on X, flooding the comments section.

“Yeah, Monica McNutt should just stop with this and say I didn’t know and wasn’t aware, but she’s milking this. Taylor Swift performed at a Knicks halftime at 13 and has been going to Knicks games since she was famous. Just admit the mistake,” one fan said.

“Is she still at this? Not one person attacked her; she was rightfully called out for being an uninformed, hating a** and unprofessional on top of that,” another fan said.

“C’mon. This story was over with. McNutt was rightfully called out for her ‘hot mic’ moment. There was no need for you to tweet about this and put Swift’s name in your tweet. You’re using her name for clicks. Not cool, man,” another fan commented.

More reactions followed:

“She sounded ridiculous. She doesn’t get to decide who can or cannot attend games,” one fan commented.

“The first thing you should’ve closed was your mouth, Monica McNutt. You don’t get to decide who can or can’t attend a game,” another fan commented.

“How about you were wrong for zeroing in on her; there were plenty of celebs at the game who weren’t regulars. And let’s be honest, you meant exactly what you said. Give a genuine apology and let’s move on,” another fan said.

“It’s a throwaway comment”: Knicks radio analyst Monica McNutt explains her viral comment on Taylor Swift

Later on the podcast, McNutt explained her viral “Girl get out of here” comment on Swift from Game 4 of the Finals.

“You gotta be able to read a little colloquialism because ‘Girl get out of here’ isn’t literally ‘Get out of here,'” she said.

“But I had just seen you at a Knicks game with your man in no Knicks gear, and all the celebrity Knicks fans I am familiar with, blue and orange down, baby; it ain’t no question. So, literally, it’s a throwaway comment, RC, that’s like, please, congratulations, you have built an empire; you have an incredible fan base; like, I do not care.”

While the Swifties criticized the radio analyst for weeks, the singer herself did not comment or respond to McNutt’s remark.
