A WWE star has finally won championship gold, and she has broken her silence on the moment. After years of near misses and false starts, the wait ended on Friday Night SmackDown, and she has spoken up about it.
Michin and B-Fab won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with a finish that came out of nowhere
Thanks for the submission!
On the most recent episode of SmackDown, Mia Yim and B-Fab won a title match against Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley, the reigning Women’s Tag Team Champions. Bliss and Paxley had won the belts on October 9 and were defending them, but they were not successful.
Paxley went up for a 450 splash and found nobody home as Michin rolled clear. Jade Cargill, watching from ringside, landed a punch on Paxley when the referee was not watching. Yim hit the Styles Clash and got the pinfall, thereby winning the titles.
It was the first WWE title for both women, and it left them both emotional while celebrating with Cargill. Now, Yim has spoken. In an Instagram post reflecting on the win, she put the entire journey into a single word.
“Perseverance.”
The 37-year-old has been in the business since her debut in 2009 and in WWE since 2018, and until Friday night she had never held a championship in the company. Truly, she has lived up to the word of continuing to persevere.
B-Fab’s road has been different but no shorter. She has been with the company since 2019 and on the main roster since 2021, but has not managed a title until now.
The belts now belong to The Baddies, and Bliss and Paxley, whose reign did not last long, will be unwilling to let things go. However, for the moment, there’s reason to celebrate and enjoy the title for as long as they can.
