Several new gameplay features were added with the Warzone Season 1 update, enhancing the overall flow of combat. New gameplay features in Warzone Season 1 explored

For starters, Warzone Season 1 has introduced two new field upgrades: Zipline Launcher and Grabber Drone. Here’s what they do:

Zipline Launcher

You can overcome obstacles and reach high vantage points using the new Zipline Launcher. As the name suggests, you will essentially create anchors and a zipline to a specific location, and glide across the cable. This will be a perfect gadget to carry and use for rooftop flanks or to cross terrain.

Your entire squad, as well as your opponents, can use the zipline. Moreover, it stays active until you retrieve or destroy it. In case a zipline is created to your location, check the line for incoming enemies.

Grabber Drone

Grabber Drones in Warzone Season 1 are equipped with a claw that can lift up objects and Operators around the map. To use it, you deploy the special drone and control it via a remote toward your desired location, then grab something or someone and bring them back. In most cases, you will want to pick up a knocked-out teammate and bring them to a safe position to revive.

The Grabber Drone can also be used to retrieve unreachable weapons and Buy Station loot. The battery is limited for the gadget, so use it wisely.

There are new interactive objects around the map offering more environmental control to both you and your opponents. You will find Fuel Barrels that can be placed anywhere; detonate them when an enemy is near to cause massive damage.

Other interactive objects include Dumpsters, Concrete Cylinders, and more. You can use them as cover or lay them out on the street to prevent vehicles from passing. The possibilities are endless for this feature.

Grind for Royalty

The Grind for Royalty system introduced with Warzone Season 1 rewards you with new weapon camos. It essentially tracks your personal stats and generates individual challenges. Complete them and set records to unlock the cosmetics.

The challenges and rewards reset each season. You can obtain a weapon camo from either the Gold Excellence or Gold Mosaic camo tracks in the current patch.

Weapon Augments

Augments are new special upgrades for your weapon offering significant bonuses throughout the match. You can obtain them from the portable Buy Stations. Here are the Weapon Augments available in Warzone Season 1:

CQC Augment: Increases Aim Down Sight (ADS) speed and sprint-to-fire speed, while reducing hipfire recoil.
Marksman Augment: Improves bullet velocity and damage range, while reducing aiming idle sway and horizontal recoil.
Handling Augment: Enhances reload speed, rechambering speed, and weapon swap speed, while reducing first-shot recoil and weapon bob.

Ground Ops

The Season 1 maps feature discoverable Ground Ops, which offer a chance to drop valuable loot. These structures also unlock other advantages like high-value safes, surveillance towers, loot chests, and cargo drones. You may occasionally come across loot-filled radioactive barrels that are located with the assistance of a Geiger counter.

Other Resurgence exclusive gameplay features in Warzone Season 1 include the Weapon Trade Station. Interact with them to exchange your guns with one of an improved rarity and additional attachments. The Resurgence mode also features these four types of Drop Kits:

Insured: Redeploy faster with all your cash.
Loadout: Redeploy with your current Loadout.
Armored: Redeploy with full armor, bonus Perks, and a Self-Revive.
Radar: Redeploy with an active Radar Ping and supply sweep.
