WWE Superstar Thea Hail has been vocal about her alopecia areata diagnosis for three months now, and her condition is showing no signs of slowing down. She just shared a heartbreaking update on social media, showing several bald spots across her scalp.
The 23-year-old star went public with her diagnosis in August 2026, saying she manifested going bald.
Thanks for the submission!
Earlier today, Hail uploaded a new video on Instagram, in which she walked her fans through multiple areas of thinning hair, one of which is noticeably larger than the rest. She also showed a bunch of hairs that fell out while she was recording herself.

Thea Hail joined WWE in 2022 and broke out as the excitable student in Andre Chase’s Chase University faction, a role that carried her to an NXT Women’s Championship match against Tiffany Stratton at the Great American Bash in 2023.
Her first title came on the December 16, 2025 episode of NXT, where she controversially beat Blake Monroe for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. Her reign didn’t last long, as Izzi Dame took it from her at NXT New Year’s Evil in January 2026, abruptly ending her 21-day reign.
She was last seen in action on television during the WWE NXT Women’s Title #1 Contendership Battle Royal, which Wren Sinclair won. She has since remained off TV and has only worked live events.
WWE Superstar Thea Hail has named her bald spot
A few months ago, Thea Hail addressed the condition at length on her YouTube channel and introduced the world to Harold, the nickname she gave to the biggest patch. She said:
“Fun fact, I have alopecia right now. I’m balding. It’s like my favorite thing to talk about. So, his name is Harold. That’s my bald spot. He is growing a lot right now, like at a concerning rate. So, he is starting to peek through a little bit. He’s there. You see him? There he is. He’s starting to make little appearances now. And he was not doing that before.”
Thankfully, this hasn’t affected her NXT run. It will be interesting to see if Shawn Michaels will bring her back in time for NXT’s next Tables, Ladders, and Chairs premium live event in December.
