The upcoming episode of SmackDown will be the go-home show for Crown Jewel 2026 and the excitement among fans is at a fever pitch. The feuds and storylines will undergo one final build before taking center stage in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this weekend. The atmosphere is electric as it is set to be an exciting night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
However, the show was already taped earlier this week to allow talent and crew time to travel to Saudi Arabia. Regardless, fans will get to see some blockbuster things tonight. Both the women’s world champions of RAW and SmackDown will be under the same roof tonight to hype up their upcoming Crown Jewel Championship match and there’s much more.
Thanks for the submission!
Here’s a full preview of the go-home show of WWE SmackDown for Crown Jewel:
#4. Gunther calls out Finn Balor on SmackDown
Finn Balor and Gunther have been embroiled in a heated rivalry in WWE for the past few weeks. Last week on SmackDown, The Ring General faced a devastating fate when Balor’s alter ego showed up out of nowhere and took him out. The Demon King made his presence felt and obliterated Gunther, leaving him in shambles following a fiery confrontation.
The Ring General will be in a very bad mood tonight as he calls out Finn Balor for what happened last week. The two superstars are expected to have a huge segment where they engage in a promo battle. However, things may escalate into a chaotic brawl, which could set the stage for a blockbuster match between Gunther and Balor at Crown Jewel this weekend.
#3. Sami Zayn makes one final statement
Sami Zayn will face Roman Reigns in a high-profile champion vs. champion match at Crown Jewel. The buildup of this match has been great so far. Things took an interesting turn this week on RAW when Zayn hit Reigns with a massive Helluva Kick, making a bold statement. The Undisputed WWE Champion will show up on SmackDown tonight to address his actions.
He could gloat about how he took out the Tribal Chief on RAW when the latter least expected it. Sami Zayn could proclaim that he would be doing the same to Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel. The 42-year-old may deliver a final statement to the OTC before their blockbuster Crown Jewel Championship match. Fans may also get to see Bloodline’s involvement in Zayn’s segment.
#2. Chelsea Green & Liv Morgan share their last words
Chelsea Green and Liv Morgan will battle each other in a high-profile champion vs. champion match at Crown Jewel. The two superstars have been at each other’s throats for the past three weeks. With it being the go-home show for the PLE, Morgan and Green will be under the same roof to exchange their final words before taking on each other in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Both superstars could claim to win the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship, validating their chances of victory. There is also a possibility that Liv Morgan and Chelsea Green could engage in a physical altercation on the show to hype up their upcoming match. It will be quite interesting to see who gets the last laugh tonight and heads into Crown Jewel with red-hot momentum.
#1. Kevin Owens battles CM Punk in a No Holds Barred match
The biggest highlight of Friday Night SmackDown this week will be the blockbuster match between CM Punk and Kevin Owens. This rivalry has reached a boiling point, with both superstars willing to tear each other apart. Things will finally culminate tonight as Punk and Owens will lock horns in a No Holds Barred match. It is expected to be an incredible showdown.
Kevin Owens and CM Punk might deliver an absolute banger at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Fans may witness jaw-dropping actions and close falls in this No Holds Barred match, which may keep them on the edge of their seats. The finish of this match could involve a precarious spot, as both superstars are known for delivering high-risk maneuvers in WWE.
