TMZ reported on Tuesday that Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has fears that his child support will end up on sports gambling online. Edwards shares a three-year-old son with his former girlfriend, Alexandria Desroches.
TMZ obtained court documents in which Desroches admitted to gambling through DraftKings several times per month in 2025. At that time, she argued that Edwards’ child support payments were not enough. The Timberwolves star also said that Alexandria has left out income and exaggerated child support costs.

Edwards was ordered to pay $14,000 in child support per month last August. The star forward fears his ex-girlfriend will use the money to gamble on sports. The four-time All-Star has requested that the child support payments be put in a trust, with a reliable trustee to handle distributions.
Desroches responded by claiming that Edwards has never spent time with his son. She also claimed that the NBA star has never even met Amir. She also admitted to spending money on DraftKings to gamble. However, she said her bets were only around $10 and that they were placed because she was bored.
Desroches also told the court that she has stopped using her DraftKings account. TMZ also reported that the net of the account was $998.20 for 2025.
Aside from his son with Desroches, Anthony Edwards also shares a daughter with Ayesha Howard.
Alexandria Desroches Receives a Bigger Child Support Payment From Anthony Edwards Compared to Ayesha Howard
Alexandria Desroches fought in court to receive $14,000 per month in child support. It’s a lot more than Ayesha Howard gets. Anthony Edwards was ruled to pay $3,222 per month to Howard.
An Instagram post claimed that Howard must be upset with the court’s ruling since Desroches receives more in child support. However, she shut down all the talk in a comment on the post.
“Ayesha ain’t p*ssed bout nothing y’all speaking on void orders; I’m still in court! Stay out my pockets; I got me and mine! GO UP @iamallyd !! Love you,” she wrote.
Desroches also commented on the IG post.
“I WON my case in GA, not NY! ahhaaaa haaa he tried to take me to GA thinking he can finesse me JOKES 🤡 Shout out to my lawyer and the judge🤭.”
Aside from Amir and Aubri (daughter with Howard), Anthony Edwards also has a child with Daja Carlyle, a daughter named Aris Ariel Carlyle. Edwards’ fourth child is Aislynn, whom he shares with his wife, Shannon Jackson.
