Andy Reid is struggling to defend his latest roster decision.
On Sunday, just hours before his Kansas City Chiefs played the Denver Broncos, the head coach was announced to be benching guard Kingsley Suamataia for the second straight time. Veteran Mike Caliendo starred in his stead.
Thanks for the submission!
During post-game media availability, Reid declined to give a specific reason for benching Suamataia, insisting that it was an internal matter:

“It’s just between Kingsley and I.”

And his comments did not sit well with fans:
“Andy is so arrogant, he thinks he owns the Chiefs… you are an employee paid by the fans,” one raged.
“Better say something Andy. That’s a lame excuse. You cost this team a win tonight,” another threatened.
“Most coddled head coach ever. KC media is too scared to hurt his feelings,” one rued.
“Andy really needs to retire at the end of the season,” another insisted.
“Leave him in Denver,” one demanded.
“Really, we need someone like Jon Gruden to coach this team,” one suggested.

Andy Reid disagrees with game-costing penalty vs. Broncos
Speaking of the game, it turned out to be a 24-28 loss – Andy Reid and company’s second straight defeat after a 5-0 start.
The decisive moment came when Patrick Mahomes appeared to have found Rashee Rice in the end zone for a walk-off touchdown. However, a penalty had been called before the snap – a false start on right tackle Jaylon Moore.
The Chiefs were pushed back five yards, and Mahomes was sacked by Malcolm Roach to end the game.
During the same post-game presser, Reid disagreed with the penalty on Moore:
“I didn’t see it. I saw him move his head, but I didn’t see (a false start).”
Moore, meanwhile, apologized for his error:
“I mean, I’ve just got to be better. I still haven’t gotten a chance to look at it, but, regardless, I’ve just got to be better. With (the game) being so tight, the situation that it was, it just hurts even more.”
The Chiefs next return to Arrowhead to face the New York Jets a week from now. That game kicks off at 12 p.m. CT on CBS.
