The Indianapolis Colts’ front office is facing the heat for its decision to turn down a multi-pick offer for Jonathan Taylor. The franchise already traded away two of its biggest stars earlier this week.
Taylor, however, could be a much tougher player to acquire. According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the Colts rejected an offer involving a 2027 second-round pick and an additional selection for the three-time Pro Bowler.
Thanks for the submission!
“Colts immediately rejected offer of 2027 2nd-round pick plus additional pick for Jonathan Taylor, per @TomPelissero,” Underdog NFL tweeted on Saturday.

Here are some more reactions.
“Trying to get back that first they lost lol,” a fan wrote.
“You’re not surpassing cmc trade capital,” one fan commented.
“Colts expecting a 1st round pick for a 28 year old RB 🤣,” another fan tweeted.
Taylor has been one of Indianapolis’ most productive players this season, rushing for 587 yards and eight touchdowns through seven games. Owner and CEO Carlie Irsay-Gordon reportedly met with Taylor this week. While the franchise previously saw him as part of its future, Indianapolis is now open to trade discussions.
Breiden Fehoko pushes Bengals to make a move for Jonathan Taylor
Former NFL defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko believes Jonathan Taylor could be the missing piece in Cincinnati’s Super Bowl pursuit. With the trade deadline approaching, Fehoko has urged the Bengals to make a move for the Indianapolis Colts running back.
“Every contender is gearing up to make a run. There’s nobody I want to see more on the @Bengals than Jonathan Taylor,” Fehoko wrote on Thursday.
“That would be the biggest needle mover this century. Peep what I just texted you @JoeyB. GO GET JONATHAN TAYLOR.”
There is also the financial side to consider. Taylor signed a two-year, $44 million extension that runs through 2028. Bringing him to Cincinnati would require the Bengals to work around that contract while managing the hefty deals already given to Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins.
